Competitions Details:
All competitions are voluntary. GymStarz Gymnastics Club will give everyone the oppertunity to take part in any event it runs or takes part within.
We do have some rules on entrying competition to ensure everyone can do their best (please click document below).
All events run or connected to British Gymnastics will follow set rules and as a club we must abide by these. This includes entry fees, photography and videoing policies, code of conducts and judgeing standards.
7th May 2017:- Notts County - Gymnastics 4 All - 5,6 & 7 year old
Location - The Joseph Whitaker Sports Centre, Rainworth.
Description:
A floor and vault competitions for those under 8 years of age. The Gymnasts perform a set floor routine for their ability and then go onto take 2 Vault's; the best of which produces their vault mark. The routines are set by the age of the gymnast. The Vault they get a choice of vault to attempt Squat on, Squat though or Straddle over each vault skill has a different starting value depending on its difficulty; the vault hiegh is set by the age of the gymnast.

12th June 2016:- Gymnastics 4 All - Over 8's Gymnastics Regional Open - Primary 2
Location - Queens Park Sprorts centre, Chesterfield.
Description:
A floor and vault competitions for those 8 years of age and above. The Gymnasts perform a set floor routine for their ability and then go onto take 2 Vault's; the best of which produces their vault mark. The Primary 2 competition is the easier event. The Vault they get a choice of three vault to attempt Squat on, Squat though or Straddle over each vault skill has a different starting value depending on its difficulty.

Primary 1 and Advanced

The Gymnasts perform a set floor routine for their ability and then go onto take 2 Vault's; the best of which produces their vault mark. The Primary 1 and advanced competition is the harder event. The Vault they get a choice of three vault to attempt Squat on, Squat though or Straddle over each vault skill has a different starting value depending on its difficulty.

October - Novemeber 2016:- Gymnastics 4 All - Over 8's Gymnastics Regional Open -
Primary 2, Priamary 1 and Advanced
Location - New college, Leicester.
Description:
A floor and vault for both girls and boys; then A-Bars and Beam for girls with P-Bars and High Bar for Boys competitions for those 8 years of age and above. The Gymnasts perform a set floor routine for their ability and then go onto take 2 Vault's; the best of which produces their vault mark. Then boys and girls willget to compete on their gender based peices. The Vault they get a choice of three vault to attempt Squat on, Squat though or Straddle over each vault skill has a different starting value depending on its difficulty. The Bars (A-Bars, High Bar and P-Bars) are all set routines. The girls Beam however is set skills but the routine is in an order created by the gymnast and her coach.
This competition is using F.I.G standard equipment with only a few moderation for the height of the gymnast; some equipment will not be modified as stated within the rule of the competition.
